CO:OP Financial Services is currently looking for an Accounting Associate : Accounts Payable (AP) in our Accounting department. This position is located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.The AP Accounting Associate reviews and enters vendor invoices/travel expenses and ensures payments are made timely and in compliance with corporate policy.What your day will look like:Processes all accounts payable invoices, check requests and other vouchers for corporate and subsidiary companies utilizing an accounting applicationEnsures proper general ledger coding, approvals, and sign:offs on all payable invoices, in accordance with company policies and proceduresObtains and stores electronically all payeesA? W:9sMonitors all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amountsKeeps track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor paymentsReconciles payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accuratePrepares annual 1099 filingsResponds timely to all inquiriesThis position requires a High School diploma or general education (GED) along with two years accounts payable experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook and Word. Must have working knowledge of Accounting Software. Great Plains is preferred. To perform this job successfully, the AP Accounting Associate must provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude. In addition, the individual must have excellent verbal and written communication, excellent organization skills, pays attention to details, have the ability to meet deadlines, is a self:starter and dependable. Must react to change productively.
