Job Description: Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth? If so, we would love to have you as part of the growing SCCS team! As a Therapeutic Behavior Specialist (TBS Coach), you will be responsible for providing one to one therapeutic behavior services to wraparound clients that qualify for services. The major responsibilities include maintaining a physical presence with the client, demonstrating a thorough understanding of clinical interventions, and facilitating group/community meetings successfully when necessary. In addition, the TBS Coach is responsible for charting and maintaining appropriate documentation. Duties include: Actively supports staff and clients providing a 'Team Approach.' (Open and continuous communication.)A physical presence is maintained with clients at all times, except when completing paperwork.Demonstrates thorough understanding of clinical interventions and actively participates in crisis intervention.Facilitation of group and community meetings, as requestedDemonstrates understanding and enforcement of AWOL, homicide and suicide precautions and protocols.Competency in charting and documentation.Regular and timely attendance required at all staff meetings.Maintains standard productivity and completes all required documentation in a timely manner.Standard work hours are from 10am-7pm but exceptions may occur. For more than 30 years, SCCS has provided care, counseling, coaching and essential mental health services for children, teen, young adults and their families. Required Experience: Minimum of 60 units in Human Social Sciences (i.e., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Special Education) or related field and/or two years of extensive experience working with high risk youth.Bachelors Degree preferred.Two (2) years on the job experience as volunteer, intern, or employed with emotionally disturbed or problem behavior youth.Valid CA drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
