Job Description
SUMMARY: The Project Manager works closely with the Project Lead (Research and Development Engineering) to ensure all projects are delivered on:time, within scope and within budget. This position is responsible for project administrative duties, including project documentation, plans and reports. The Project Manager is a team member of all new product development projects and a key contributor to the success of the project. This person will report directly to the Research and Development Engineering Director, and will work together to ensure projects are progressing appropriately, mitigate project issues or resource constraints, and prepare communication for other departments and management.
:Assist Project Lead in developing project schedule, budget and resource needs.
:Manage a detailed project plan to track progress and ensure milestones are met.
:Collaborates with Project Lead and resource managers to ensure appropriate resources are available and allocated.
:Prepare periodic reports as needed for management review.
:Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, and facilitate deliverables from the rest of the development team.
:Implement project plan within project management software tools.
:Partners and coordinates with other departments within New World Medical to ensure projects needs are properly met.
:Manages project when Project Lead is absent or out of office.
:Runs recurring project meetings, taking detailed minutes on decisions and action items.
:Coordinate customer facing activities, such as conference demos and wetlabs.
:Proactively contributes to project risk analysis and mitigation planning.
:Identify opportunities to enhance project development efficiency and to optimize use of all resources.
:Effectively communicate with all levels of Management.
:Perform other duties as assigned.
:Exceptional presentations, written and verbal communication skills.
:Strong time and project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritize work and balance multiple projects.
:Ability to build effective working relationships across functional areas and levels of the organization.
:Understands how to lead without direct authority.
:Must be able to set priorities and manage time effectively.
:Ability to use Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF effectively
:Ability to utilize Project Management software (e.g. teamwork)
:Minimum of Bachelors degree in
science/engineering/computer science/business field.
:8+ years of experience, preferably in medical devices.
:Minimum 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in new product development.
:Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and other applicable tools.
:Working knowledge of ISO And FDA regulationsCompany Description
