Job Description:/h3:
The Marvin Sales Manager provides strategic leadership through responsibility for the direction and management of the Marvin division residential sales function and for ensuring that the divisions sales, profitability and other objectives are met. This is accomplished through developing a premiere sales organization by creating and implementing sales plans, programs and strategies; and leading, coaching and developing a sales team that supports the Companys strategies and objectives. This position is also responsible for driving profitability and growing business through programs and promotions that build customer loyalty and satisfaction. The Marvin Sales Manager works closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, Operations and other departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
:Lead and drive the development and execution of sales strategies that build the Marvin brand, maximize customer development and achieve the Marvin divisions and the Companys goals and objectives
:Develop and implement business plans and budgets for the region and by territory, which include sales volume, gross margin, and profitability, and identify opportunities for market growth
:Guide and work with Marvin Territory Managers to create territory and customer objectives, strategies and action plans that support the regions plans and budgets
:Monitor progress against goals and objectives, communicate current status to Marvin division leadership and develop action plans to address deficiencies
:Create, develop and lead a customer focused, cooperative, self:reliant sales team capable of driving results and meeting Company and Division objectives through goal setting, training, appraisal, coaching, and recognition
:Establish and prioritize key performance measures and benchmarks, goals and action plans for employees and territories, measure and review performance, and initiate and take corrective action on performance gaps when necessary to sustain focus and clarity and achieve the Divisions strategies and objectives
:Demonstrate and provide sales process coaching through a schedule of regular ride:along and meetings with staff
:Provide staff with support, tools, information and other support to help them achieve their sales objectives
:Participate in the recruiting, selection and orienting of new employees as needed to build a high performance sales team
:Interpret and communicate Company and Divisional strategies, insuring sales strategy alignment
:Create and conduct sales and product knowledge meetings
:Collaborate with the Commercial Sales Manager to ensure optimal segment penetration
:Work in partnership with Marketing to develop and implement relevant, impactful and effective promotional and marketing strategies and plans
:Utilize customer relationship management software (CRM) and other tools to review activities and provide feedback in order to achieve optimal sales performance and productivity
:Monitor and analyze sales reports to ensure performance against strategies and goals
:Establish, build and maintain strong and long:term relationships and partnerships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
:Address and resolve issues with customers and other concerns as needed and in coordination with applicable Company personnel
:Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of escalated or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
:Maintain current technical and industry knowledge, market intelligence of the competition, and business opportunities and communicate and provide updates to the Division
:Lead projects and assignments, which require commitment from interdepartmental and external resources
:Represent the Company and actively participate at industry and community events and meetings, and in professional and trade organizations
