The Vice President of Operations participates in the setting of the strategic vision with the CEO and Senior Staff. Responsible for all planning, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering and facilities. Provides Leadership and direction for those areas with direct production of company products: Manufacturing, Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Facilities, Manufacturing Engineering, Shipping and Receiving, Quality Assurance and Environmental Health and Safety. Guides the design, implementation and continuous improvement of work processes, which lead to efficient, timely and high:quality delivery of products and services. Assesses need, oversees and approves the purchase of capital and expense equipment for the manufacturing processes, plus the planning and procurement of direct raw material and MRO supplies.

Creates and manages a set of KPIs regarding cost, quality and delivery. Monitors and communicates manufacturing performance to the CEO and Senior Staff. Develops budgets, monitors expenditures and controls costs related to all manufacturing operations. Plans to adequately address capacity requirements based upon customer/market demands. Develops a highly effective organization through successful hiring, development, performance management and retention of Employees. Handles sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion. Holds managers accountable to the strategic plan by working with them to set clearly defined and measurable goals. Implements profitable short:term and long:term programs and processes to optimize work flow. In an enthusiastic manner, motivate, train, engage and serve others to encourage creativity, commitment and cohesiveness. Build rapport and relationships with individuals and groups. Inspire and equip those you influence.

Qualifications:

At least 10:15 years of experience in the management of technical manufacturing operations.
Thorough understanding of ERP, production planning, supply chain management and capacity management tools.
Strong financial acumen, especially related to Cost of Goods Sold, spending control and inventory management.
Effective communicator and listener with both internal and external customers.
Strong leadership skills and an effective motivator.
Develops effective business and working relationships.
Willingness to roll up sleeves and get involved with operations.
Good organizational and problem solving skills.
A thorough understanding of the manufacturing processes and operations.
Ability to professionally represent the company to outside customers and suppliers.
Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation.
Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas.
