Aerothermal / Fluid Mechanics Analyst: Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineer or equivalent with knowledge and experience of aerothermal analysis of hypersonic vehicles and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Tasks include providing aeroheating, thermal response, ablation and erosion simulations in support of vehicle nose-tip and heatshield design. Task may also include aerodynamic and propulsion CFD design and analysis of internal and external flow, and post-processing of CFD solutions. Tasks may also include signature analysis of aero vehicles including optical signatures and RF signatures. Applicant must have understanding of a wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Position requires preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and interface with internal and external customers. Provide technical support to internal and cross-sector proposal efforts. Perform test planning, test support, and technical analysis of test data. Perform cooperatively as a team member and when requested also as a leader of a technical team. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
